About ME
As a child, I was often drawn to observing my surroundings rather than actively participating. I found myself intrigued by the structure of the playground, observing it’s connections.
Growing up in a large family with seven siblings taught me valuable lessons about human behavior and interpersonal dynamics. I learned to recognize how small details can influence actions and how systems, whether in families or products, can either function smoothly or create challenges.
At UC Berkeley, I pursued studies in Cognitive Science and Data Science, which allowed me to combine my interest in human behavior with technology. This led me to discover UX, a field that where psychology, design, and data converge. Since then, I've had the opportunity to work with various organizations, from startups to FAANG companies, using data-driven research to enhance product design.
I approach each project with curiosity, looking ways to improve interactions and simplify complexities.
Outside of UX, I have a strong interest in neurotechnology, particularly Brain-Computer Interfaces (BCI). This passion has led me to my current role at Somnee, where I contribute to UX research efforts.
In my free time, I enjoy a variety of activities including MMA training, basketball, watching football, playing video games, and spending time with my wife. I'm always eager to learn and explore new ideas.

“...Daniel showed a surprising amount of autonomy and agency as a junior contractor. He took time to deeply understand our persona, understand their needs, and iteratively arrive at a UX that optimally solved for those needs. We were also able to trust him to present his area of work in front of senior advisors and customers...”
